About the Team:
TikTok is a platform connecting creation and consumption. On this platform, there are massive creators and hundreds of millions of consumers creating and consuming content every day. Around this content flow pipeline, there are many very challenging engineering and algorithm problems. We are committed to making this architecture more intelligent and efficient through an algorithm driven approach.

Responsibilities:
- Design and apply machine learning algorithms and intelligent strategies to optimize the experience of TikTok LIVE users and cost efficiency
- Conduct offline and online experiments, analyze by data-driven and evaluate to improve algorithms and strategies
- Follow up the latest research progress in the fields of related areas and recommendation/search/ads systems
- Work closely with colleagues in product team, engineering and data teams to accomplish business goals

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline;
- 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, data mining, recommendation/search/ads systems, or other related areas;
- Solid experience with data structures and algorithms, and solid development experience through hands-on coding in general programming language;
- Familiar with one of mainstream AI dev frameworks, like tensorflow, pytorch etc.
- Fast business understanding and collaborative teamwork.
- Published papers in high-level conferences (NIPS, AAAI, ICML, ICLR etc.) or having competition experience is preferred.

Job Information:
【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $194000 - $355000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
